With the state of the world right now, does anyone else felt guilty about spending money on travel? At the beginning of this year, I was questioning if it was even ethical to travel - people are dying, Kim.

Why are you taking a vacation to their country? Why are you showing support by proxy by funding airlines, hotels, stores & corporations? Not to mention the anxiety around safety and the PRICES. It’s a very first-world problem, I know. But it’s been on my mind.

AITA for priortizing travel, contributing to the "Euro summer" trends, and overall just adding to the mess that is the world right now? Increasingly, people's holiday flights are home are being cancelled, rerouted, and overall threatening their ability to spend the holidays their loved ones - and I'm a planning a birthday trip because I was born the week after Thanksgiving.

I've found a true passion in traveling, fellowshipping with others, and exchanging travel ideas with my community - but I can acknowledge that right now, its not a priority for most. I empathize. I see.

I guess I had to make peace with the fact that I choose to show up for causes I support every day, I advocate for others when I can, and I am not a bad person for filling my cup in the ✨most✨ ethical way I know how.
